Behind the Camera
I began using photography to record life’s memories officially in the summer of 2007, but my fascination with photography and art has been with me from the time I was a child. I have always expressed myself through paint and charcoal, but as my children, Max and Sheldan, came into my life, I started expressing myself through my portraits and digital artwork.
As well as being a portrait artist, I teach full time for a local high school. As a teacher, I encourage my students to continue a lifetime of learning upon departure from their formal educational endeavors. To follow my own advice, I have completed a great deal of research and have taught myself much about posing and lighting techniques, retouching, and digital artwork. I have also worked with photographers from Montana and Texas to augment my photographic skills.
